Women of Carbon is a powerful documentary film by Basia + Leonard Myszynski that shines a light on the remarkable women working to transform one of the world’s most carbon-intensive sectors: the built environment.

Through personal stories, global perspectives, and visionary leadership, the film explores how architects, engineers, material scientists, and policy advocates are reimagining what it means to design and build for a livable future. From developing carbon-storing materials to reshaping construction culture, Women of Carbon captures the creativity, persistence, and optimism driving this movement.

The film introduces audiences to a diverse cast of women leaders — from emerging innovators to global change-makers — who are tackling climate action through the lens of equity, collaboration, and community.
